Got an iMac the other day as a birthday present from my dad (and likely xmas too!).
Cannot say I'm in love with Leopard, but from what I hear of vista I'm probably better off. Still have my REAL (read: beloved) computer running (wired in to my tv so I could get rid of my clunky monitor). But now I can VIDEO EDIT! (hooray! my least favorite part of production... but its necessary for what I want to be doing). So yay nontheless.

Was at Marty's for my sister and Laurie's bridal shower or whatever you'd call it. Marty just up and made me the bartender without consent and decided to have me make Mojitos as the main drink.. sweet. I love having decisions made for me and then having to spend 4 hours making the messiest drink on the planet... I'm going to smell like limes for four days... All in all though it was tolerable. I wouldn't have chosen to partake.. which is likely why I was forced into the roll, but whatever.

FINISHED IT! And I feel quite accomplished in doing so. I know I'm not the world's fastest reader or anything, and never claimed to be... but for some reason it really bugged me all weekend watching people just annihilate me in their progress. I don't know why really, but it did... probably cause I wanted to be able to talk about it with them but couldn't... and it was my own fault.
But anyway - I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would go so far as to say I thoroughly FUCKING enjoyed. Very nicely done and a great cap to a phenomenal series that I now look forward to re-reading in the future (god knows when).
Not that anyone would, but please don't respond with any spoilers or anything (there are people on my friend's list who read slower than m (or haven't gotten their copies yet *gasp*)

So its been a couple weeks since posting... not much to update other than I GOT A SECOND FERRET! I figured Anya needed a playmate and found an adorable male who is roughly twice the size of her. Named him Doyle. They have been fighting it out for dominance and are quite the pair. Anya is a tiny little firecracker who knows no fear. Doyle is a sweet heart who rarely bites (but licks EVERYTHING)... but he's still a ferret and is twice the size of Anya so, while her wily attack plans are usually quite brutal and impressive.. they all end with Doyle biting her on the scruff and dragging her across the room in humiliating fashion (I am reminded of the death of Hector and his dragging by Achilles...) Not taking away from Anya though... their first night in she went to sleep in her little house in the cage, and Doyle decided it was HIS house and dragged her out and went to sleep. I felt awful for her but let it happen... I went to brush my teeth and by the time I was back it was Doyle sleeping in the bedding of the cage and Anya in the house.. I don't know WHAT she did but it was effective.'

Isn't she adoreable? Her name is Anya and she's barely two months old.. got her today.
She's on nap number two right now after a riling game of "Bite Jon's toes and run away squeeking devilishly". She so funny though.. she runs around my room squeeking and chirping (which is rare in ferrets but its a sign of joy apparently.. so that's a good thing. Here's the pictures:
